Rex Rammel
Constitution Party Candidate
Wyoming Governor

Rex grew up in the mountains of Western Wyoming and Eastern Idaho near Yellowstone Park. The Rammell family settled in Teton Valley in 1889 and were honored by having a mountain named after them. The family made their living farming, ranching, and mining. Rex went on to become a veterinarian in 1989 and currently owns, with his wife Lynda of 35 years, Sweetwater Stables in Rock Springs. He is an avid outdoors man, cowboy, and stalwart conservative.

In 2010 he ran for governor against long time incumbent and current Governor of Idaho, Butch Otter. Over 42,000 Idahoans voted for Dr.Rammell in the Republican primary. He is the author of the book, “A Nation Divided: The War for America’s Soul,” a thesis on the United States Constitution and state’s rights. In 2008, he also founded the federal land transfer movement that has become a multi-state initiative to transfer all public lands back to the states. He is passionate about the land transfer and believes as governor of Wyoming, through executive action, the nearly 50% of Wyoming land currently controlled by the federal government can be returned back to the state. He believes the transfer would effectively eliminate many of Wyoming’s revenue problems and put Wyoming on equal footing with the other states.
